Interlibrary loans

Beginning August 8, our Interlibrary Loan service will be temporarily paused while Library staff prepare for the opening of our new Shellard Lane Branch.

The service will resume this fall. Thank you for your understanding as we get ready to serve our growing community.

Brantford Public Library members can borrow books from other libraries through an interlibrary loan service. Audiobooks, DVDs, and other audio-visual items are not available through interlibrary loan. All materials requested through our interlibrary loan service must be more than five years old and not currently in our catalogue. We do not guarantee that all requests can be filled. Prior to using this service:

• Check the Library Catalogue
• A limit of five (5) requests per month
• Newer items, less than five years old, should be requested through our Suggest a Purchase form below

Do you have a suggestion for an item to add to our collection? Suggest a purchase. 

We will consider the addition of materials in accordance with our Collection Development Policy.

Before you make a request:

• Check the Library Catalogue
• Item must already be available for sale or presale
• Item must be recent. Items older than five years usually are not purchased.
