Interlibrary loans

Brantford Public Library members can borrow items from other libraries through an interlibrary loan service. Materials that can be borrowed from other libraries include books and DVDs. All materials requested through our interlibrary loan service must be more than five years old and not currently in our catalogue. We do not guarantee that all requests can be filled. Prior to using this service:

  • Check the Library Catalogue
  • A limit of five (5) requests per month
  • Newer items, less than five years old, should be requested through our Suggest a Purchase form below

We will consider the addition of materials in accordance with our Collection Development Policy.

Before you make a request:

  • Check the Library Catalogue
  • Item must already be available for sale or presale
  • Item must be recent. Items older than five years usually are not purchased and may be able to be borrowed through an interlibrary loan request.
